IT Home is relaying a Signal65 report published on October 1. The comparison is three laptops, not three chips on one board. On the Qualcomm side: a Lenovo Slim 7x (83QR) with an 18-core, 18-thread Snapdragon X2 Elite, model X2E-88-100, ARM64 (Oryon), Adreno X2-90 graphics, 32 GB of memory at 9523 MHz, a 70.0 Wh design battery, and Windows 26H1 (28000.2608).
On the Intel side: a Dell XPS 14 (DA14260) with a Core Ultra X7 358H, 16 cores and 16 threads, x86-64 (Panther Lake), Arc B390 graphics, 32 GB at 9600 MHz, a 68.6 Wh battery, and Windows 25H2 (26200.8973). On the AMD side: a Lenovo Yoga 7a 14 (83TD) with a Ryzen AI 7 445, 6 cores and 12 threads, Zen 5, Radeon 840M graphics, 24 GB at 8533 MHz, a 70.0 Wh battery, and the same Windows 25H2 (26200.8973). Core counts, memory, operating-system builds, and chassis all differ.

The report’s conclusion is that this 18-core Snapdragon leads this Intel processor in CPU, AI, productivity, and most battery-life items. “Most” is not “every.”
In Geekbench 7 multi-core, the Snapdragon system scored 24,016 and the Intel system 18,360, a 31 percent lead. In single-core, the scores were 3,237 and 2,602. The retelling does not give the AMD machine’s Geekbench scores.
On AI, UL Procyon AI Computer Vision scored 4,360 on the Snapdragon system and 2,302 on the Intel system. In the AI CV 2.0 WinML test, the Snapdragon still led Intel by about 31 percent. The retelling gives no AMD AI scores, and it does not name the models used in the tests.
[1]Battery life does not all fall on the same side. Local video playback lasted 16.1 hours on the Snapdragon system and 14.4 hours on the Intel system. Chrome browsing lasted 11.2 hours and 8.6 hours. Office battery life runs the other way: 17.4 hours for Intel and 14.3 hours for the Snapdragon. So “most battery items” does not include this office test.
We have not checked the original Signal65 report. Scores, machines, and system builds are as IT Home relayed them. A Slim 7x against one XPS 14 is not a result for every laptop.
[1]要点
- The three laptops differ in cores, memory, system build, and chassis. This is not a same-configuration test.
- Geekbench 7 multi-core: Snapdragon 24,016, Intel 18,360, a 31 percent lead. Single-core was 3,237 to 2,602.
- UL Procyon AI Computer Vision: Snapdragon 4,360, Intel 2,302. This retelling gives no AMD scores.
- Snapdragon lasted longer on local video and browsing. On office battery life, Intel ran 17.4 hours and the Snapdragon 14.3.
