Most annoying parts of me switching all my IoT devices onto a separate network:
(1) Verizon's IoT network is not firewalled from your main wifi - so I moved all devices onto my guest network (and not the literal one named IoT)
(2) guest networks - and wifi changes in general - have weak documentation, I relied a lot on AI and Reddit
(3) I have 6 manufacturers across my IoT devices and each one required a completely different process
(4) it made me resent having so many smart devices and evaluate the benefit of each one (ex: do I really need an air purifier connected to wifi? no.)
