The IT Home page is stamped 2026/10/21 9:38:48. The judgment first: AI revenue this quarter is already above Starlink. Payback in under a year, and the higher capital spending, are the chief financial officer's forecasts. They are not results this quarter has already closed.

SpaceX's second earnings report shows third-quarter AI capital spending of $16.4 billion, slightly below the $16.9 billion analysts expected. Total capital spending for the quarter was about $19.6 billion. The page says that total was broadly in line with Wall Street's expectation. The page renames the SI label in the official notice as AI. This piece keeps AI and does not invent a second name. The company continues to expand infrastructure for Grok and other businesses. On this page Grok is only named. There is no product detail.
[1]Chief financial officer 布雷特·约翰森 forecasts that capital spending will rise to $35 billion to $40 billion as more computing comes online. He also says that, at current rates, newly deployed computing can pay back in under a year. Both sentences are forecasts. After the report, SpaceX shares rose 4 percent after hours. The 4 percent is an after-hours stock move, not a revenue growth rate.
[1]Elon Musk said on the earnings call that for the superintelligence business SpaceXSI, the main limit on deployment is not chips. It is power, cooling, and infrastructure. The page also includes a throwaway remark. It stays out of this piece.
[1]Third-quarter AI revenue rose sharply from the prior quarter, to $7.6 billion, above the $6.3 billion analysts expected. In the same quarter, Starlink revenue was $5.2 billion. The comparison of 7.6 with 5.2 is revenue against revenue. It is not a profit comparison. The page gives no profit figure for Starlink or for AI.
[1]Business Insider reports that computing-rental customers include Anthropic, Google, and Reflection AI. The $1.6 billion should not be counted in this quarter. On the previous earnings call, the same chief financial officer said rental agreements had brought in an extra $1.6 billion. That figure belongs to the previous call.
[1]Musk said that if every rental request were accepted, current computing could be rented out several times over. On the split, he hopes for half and half: half kept for the company's own use, half rented out. The mix could also become 60/40, with either side at 60 percent, and it would be adjusted month by month. That is a hope, not a measured split.
