My thoughts on the quoted post down below…
I think that an interesting (and potentially illuminating) experiment would be to put a large number of these AI-powered hedge fund trading agents in a closed sandbox (simulated market) and watch what happens. Does one agent ultimately become lord over all agents? Do they all win? Or do they all lose? Or does it converge on a state with no winners or losers? Or do they actively act against (sabotage) one another? Or (worse case scenario) do they break out of the sandbox (as in some other recent experiments) and attack the real markets?
Genetic Algorithm (GA) simulations, anyone?
