One of the last humans to walk on the moon (in 1972, on Apollo 17), and the only geologist to do so, @Caltech alumnus and former astronaut Harrison Schmitt (BS '57 at Caltech; PhD '65 at Harvard) returned to Caltech campus last month to deliver a talk on what moon dust can tell us.
