Anthropic’s subscribers likely get over 4X as much compute per dollar as its API buyers.
This is based on estimates by SemiAnalysis that Anthropic’s total inference business possibly generating 88% post-compute margins, which is including the “heavily subsidized” subscriptions served at a 50% compute margin.
i.e. the estimated 50% compute margin on subscriptions sits inside a blended 88%.
