OpenAI is rolling out its dots to Pro, Business Premium and Enterprise plans in eligible markets. While Meta's Muse costs nothing to start, up to a usage limit. Meta went wide with consumers first, but the rollout is geographically narrower as Muse launched for US consumers for now. On the usecase, Muse targets everyday errands. It drafts correspondence, plans travel, fills in online forms and coordinates schedules, and it handles retail checkout through Stripe Link on participating sites. While OpenAI's Dots looks like lean toward work - triage bugs, scope builds and ship pull requests through Codex, and they update sales proposals as customer requirements change. Consumer AI monetization is still largely built around subscriptions and advertising. Agents could unlock a 3rd and possibly larger revenue stream through transactions. The monetization shift is happening - from selling intelligence to taxing executed intent. Monetize action rather than attention. When an agent can successfully buy, book, pay, renew, or cancel on a user’s behalf, the economically valuable asset will be the delegated authority to complete the transaction.
