Nobody likes killer-looking robots, but everyone loves these.
The difference is huge.
These guys spun off from Boston Dynamics and are now building real-life creatures that move around.
I couldn't find many details on how they train these characters, but I read that they use reinforcement learning to teach them to move like living characters, focusing on emotions, expressions, and interactions.
