XIndustry00:04Santiago Valdarrama@svpinoNobody likes killer-looking robots, but everyone loves these. The difference is huge. These guys spun off from Boston Dynamics and are now building real-life creatures that move around. I couldn't find many details on how they train these characters, but I read that they use reinforcement learning to teach them to move like living characters, focusing on emotions, expressions, and interactions.Collected by WispRead in full↗
XIndustry01:42Santiago Valdarrama@svpinoYou can show this model an image or a video, and it will answer any questions about it. It goes way beyond what frontier models can do. For example, Glimpse can tell you how objects in an image relate to each other, or how an action changes over time in a video. Robotic teams would kill for these capabilities!Collected by WispRead in full↗

XIndustry22:58Santiago Valdarrama@svpinoWe can use a lot more software. We can also use better software. Demand for software right now is virtually infinite.Collected by WispRead in full↗
XIndustry20:15Santiago Valdarrama@svpinoWe will build more software. We will need more software engineers. Technological improvements that increase the efficiency of a resource actually lead to a rise, rather than a fall, in the total consumption of that resource.Collected by WispRead in full↗
XIndustry01:01Santiago Valdarrama@svpinoWhy would anyone like to work for somebody who first, lies to his applicants, then calls the work they did for free “slop”, and offers $5k -$10k a month in salary?Collected by WispRead in full↗
XIndustry21:47Santiago Valdarrama@svpinoThis app will help you generate videos with AI, but it does something really interesting: It will keep a record of every contribution you make. ← This is important! 1. It helps you generate and edit videos. 2. It checks for potential IP issues, scanning for recognizable logos, brands, and characters. 3. It keeps track of human creative decisions and changes and separates them from everything AI does. That gives you evidence of what you contributed to the finished work, which can help support a copyright claim.Collected by WispRead in full↗
XIndustry04:35Santiago Valdarrama@svpinoThis is the end of stock images as we know it. This will let you edit stock images before downloading them: • Change their background • Remove objects • Adjust lighting • Extend the image to a different layoutCollected by WispRead in full↗
XIndustry00:46Santiago Valdarrama@svpinoThis will let your agents use credentials without sharing them with the model. For example, you can connect Codex to the vault using MCP and give it access to placeholder credentials to log in to a website. When Codex tries to log in, Agent Vault's proxy will replace the placeholder with the real credentials. Codex will never see the password, and the agent can authenticate normally.Collected by WispRead in full↗
XIndustry20:37Santiago Valdarrama@svpinoI built a simple agent to handle refunds. It didn't work. Let me show you how I messed this up and how I fixed it. https://x.com/i/article/2109762091028525057Collected by WispRead in full↗
XIndustry01:28Santiago Valdarrama@svpinoThis is pretty bonkers: You can text your website URL to this service, and they will send you back a branded agent phone number for your customers. You can now share your agent line with your customers. Your customers can text your agent line and chat about your service and the information on your website. Let's say you are a hair salon. Your customers can now text you, "Do you have an open slot next Wednesday afternoon?" and get a text back with the answer.Collected by WispRead in full↗
XIndustry00:13Santiago Valdarrama@svpino32 million records searched in 30 milliseconds. That's absurdly fast. Search performance is one of those things you have to see to believe. XIndustry23:32Santiago Valdarrama@svpinoThings are getting crazy: This platform lets you build an app and use it to do your work. It's both the Builder and the Operator. 1. You want to build an invoicing app, so you describe it to Proto and specify the fields you want to track. 2. Proto turns your description into the invoicing app. It creates the data structures, views, and workflows you need. 3. You verify the invoicing app and make sure everything works. 4. From here, you can tell Proto to start invoicing your clients by using the app it just built.Collected by WispRead in full↗

XIndustry01:20Santiago Valdarrama@svpinoHere is the thing you are missing about booking trips with AI: Anyone can build an agent that fills out forms and clicks buttons, but that won't make a good booking agent. To stand out, you need backend relationships, connections, and commercial arrangements with hotels and airlines. That's what makes this here interesting: an AI concierge and an IATA-registered travel agent, with access to agency rates and hotel perks.Collected by WispRead in full↗
XIndustry23:15Santiago Valdarrama@svpinoIf you connect this to your coding agent, you can control a simulated robot and build experiences you can reuse in other scenes. They have an example using the Codex CLI. • Set it up with your coding agent • Give your robot a task • Your coding agent writes Python code to control the scene • It executes the code and checks what happened • It saves reusable procedures as skills You can then reuse those lessons with a real robot in a different environment. No need to retrain a model.Collected by WispRead in full↗
XIndustry05:20Santiago Valdarrama@svpinoMany software people are still dismissing AI as a fad, or because of the water consumption, intellectual property, or whatever. And it's not just one or two people; I'm talking about a ton of folks closing their eyes and repeating "stochastic parrot" with no idea what they are talking about. Sad to watch.Collected by WispRead in full↗
XIndustry22:42Santiago Valdarrama@svpinoThis is an open-source framework that lets you add AI-generated interfaces to your apps. For example, you can have a travel assistant agent respond with a hotel card, a map, and an interactive UI that compares plane tickets instead of a wall of text. • You decide which components you want to use • The model decides how to combine them for each request • OpenUI renders the interfaceCollected by WispRead in full↗
XIndustry02:32Santiago Valdarrama@svpinoThis is exactly what I see everywhere I go and what I hear from everyone I talk to: they need more people, not fewer. In fact, many companies are telling me they are stuck because they can't find enough talent in the market. They are already using the latest-and-greatest AI-thingies out there, but they don't have enough warm bodies to operate them. These agents aren't magic. They, for the most part, aren't autonomous. They are cool and all, but they need people who know their stuff. This is even more acute for building software. Yes, anyone can vibe-code simple apps here and there today, but building working software for thousands of user is still very demanding, and agentic coding helps but doesn't work without experts driving it.Collected by WispRead in full↗
